Beginning with Michael Bay’s Bad Boys in 1995, the franchise has since expanded across multiple films. With a budget of about $19 million, it made over $140 million at the box office. Critics hated it but it was a box office smash, so they waited 17 years to make Bad Boys For Life, the third installment.

It is. After the scandal surrounding Will Smith’s slap on Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars, production for the fourth film in the franchise was apparently put on hold.
After that, nobody knew how far along production was until February 2023, when Smith and Lawrence both shared a video of Smith visiting Lawrence’s house and confirming production on the fourth film was underway. Click here to watch Bad Boys 3
In the clip, the actors make light of the fact that the third installment of the Bad Boys franchise already uses the title they wanted to use for their film. The title of the fourth movie has not been decided yet. Keep reading to know when will be Bad Boys 4 released.
Just How Long Until We Get To See Bad Boys 4?
Since production on Bad Boys 4 has not yet begun, we likely won’t be able to see it in theatres until late 2024 or early 2025 at the earliest.

Will Smith And Martin Lawrence Both Returning For Bad Boys 4
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will reportedly reprise their roles as Detective Lieutenant Mike Lowrey and Detective Lieutenant Marcus Burnett, respectively, in the upcoming sequel.
Even though it hasn’t been confirmed as of yet, Joe Pantoliano (Captain Conrad Howard), Theresa Randle (Theresa Burnett), Bianca Bethune (Megan Burnett), Paola Nez (Lieutenant Rita Secada), and Jacob Scipio (Armando Lowrey) may all make return appearances.
