There have been rumors that the “Bejeweled” singer and the lead singer of The 1975 have started their own love story. As seen in a picture taken by a fan and shared on Twitter on May 11, Taylor, dressed in a yellow outfit, walked hand-in-hand with Matty as they made their way through an outdoor area of a restaurant.
And it looks like they didn’t spend the night alone. Taylor and Matty had a double dἀte at Casa Cipriani in New York City with friend Jack Antonoff and his fiancee Margaret Qualley, according to TMZ.
Six days before this, Matty, who is 34, was seen cheering on Taylor, who is 33, at her Nashville concert. On May 5, the singer of “Somebody Else” was seen in the crowd watching the concert from a VIP tent. The next day, he joined Phoebe Bridgers, Taylor’s opening act, onstage to play on the guitar.

Taylor and Matty’s history dates back nearly a decade, so allegations of a romἀntic relationship between them are hardly new. Matty prompted dἀting rumors in 2014 when he revealed the two had exchanged phone numbers after meeting at his band’s concert.
He quipped at the time –
“I mean bloody hell, what am I going to do?”
“Go out with Taylor Swift? She’s a sensation, I wouldn’t say no.”
But he later said that they had only shared contact information because they liked each other. He told Australia’s 2DayFM in January 2015 –
“We met each other, we exchanged numbers in the same way that a lot of people in this kind of world do, and we spoke occasionally.”
“She’s the biggest pop star in the world and I’m in Australia. There’s no relationship or anything happening.”
Since then, Matty has had relationships with Gabriella Brooks, Halsey, and FKA Twigs. Meanwhile, Taylor dἀted Calvin Harris, Tom Hiddleston and Joe Alwyn, with whom she was with for six years before news of their breakup appeared this spring.
