TMZ reports that Lance Reddick, 60, has died. Reddick was best known as the voice of Commander Zavala in the Destiny trilogy and as the character Sylens in both Horizon games.
On the morning of Friday, March 17, Reddick was apparently discovered dead at his Studio City, California residence. His death looks to be “natural,” according to law enforcement officials who talked with TMZ, while the official cause of death is yet unknown.
Reddick, who has played Charon, the manager of The Continental, in every John Wick film since its 2014 debut, was in the midst of a press tour for the film’s fourth installment.

Reddick was one of the few voice actors who was not replaced between the first and second Destiny games, having voiced Commander Zavala since the first game’s 2014 release. He was the sole original voice actor for one of the three vanguard characters (the others being Zavala, Ikora Rey, and Cayde-6).
He has also voiced characters in several video game-inspired TV shows, such as the animated Castlevania series on Netflix and the new Resident Evil series, as well as the Dungeons & Dragons–inspired The Tale of Vox Machina on Amazon Prime.
Long-running parts on shows like The Wire and Fringe are among Reddick’s most memorable in the medium.
