After leading police on a chase with a stolen automobile on Friday afternoon, three teenagers are now being charged.
According to Stoneham police, the youngsters were detained there after being informed to be on the lookout for a stolen White Audi saloon from Winchester.
A Stoneham police officer saw the car close to Main and South Street at 5:30 p.m. The driver accelerated after the police attempted to halt the car before slamming into a Franklin Street house.
The three teenagers “emptied out” of the overturned saloon, according to authorities. The young driver was stopped and taken into custody. Later, after being positively identified through an inquiry, the two passengers were taken into custody.

According to police, the 16-year-old male driver will face charges for receiving a stolen vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage, failing to stop for police, reckless driving, speeding, failing to maintain marked lanes, failing to stop at a stop sign or traffic light, and driving while intoxicated.

The Woburn adolescent passengers, ages 16 and 18, will both face charges of receiving a stolen car.
All three of them will receive a summons to appear in court at a later time. A criminal complaint will be filed on Monday, at which point the 18-year-old will be recognized.
