Tennessee Murderer Created Song Lyrics About Killing Victim

Prosecutors in Tennessee claim that a man convicted of murder also penned song lyrics about the incident.

Twenty-five-year-old Charlie Richard Martinez was found guilty of first-degree murder, exceptionally aggravated robbery, and pistol possession by a convicted felon for the homicide he committed during a robbery on February 7, 2021.

Knox News quotes District Attorney Charme Allen of Knox County, Tennessee, saying that Martinez and Kendra Denise Ivey conspired to rob 33-year-old Victor Letner at home near Knoxville.

Allen wrote on Facebook that when the victim arrived, Martinez fired a shot at Letner’s head with a.45 calibre revolver, narrowly missing him. Letner was shot in the chest when he tried to take Martinez’s gun from him. During the battle with the victim, Martinez accidentally shot himself in the foot.

The tweet below from Fox News official account confirms the news:

Martinez “composed many sets of songs describing the shooting, flight, and destruction of evidence” after escaping the scene, Allen added.

Following the murder, Martinez stole the victim’s car and left the country.

On April 20, he will be punished for the other crimes, and he was already given a life term for the first-degree murder.

“This case was solved because of the cooperation of many law enforcement agencies,” said Allen said. “Thanks to the hard work of everyone involved, the jury reached a just verdict.”
