After a Facebook page for the artist called “R.I.P. R. Kelly” received close to one million “likes,” rumours of his apparent death gained momentum on Wednesday. Readers of the “About” page received a credible description of the American singer’s death as follows:
“On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, around 11 a.m. ET, our cherished singer R. Kelly passed away. R. Kelly was born in Chicago on January 8, 1967. Though missed, he won’t be forgotten. Comment on and like this page to express your compassion and sympathies.
The rumour that R. Kelly had died has been debunked because the singer is reportedly “alive and well.”
On Thursday, September 15, 2018, the singer’s representatives made the news publically known that R. Kelly is not deceased. “He can now be added to the long list of famous people who have been taken in by this hoax. Stop believing everything you read and see on the internet; he is still alive and in good health, they stated.
Some of the singer’s devoted followers have spoken out against the rumour, calling it careless, upsetting, and damaging to their feelings toward their favourite performer. Others believe that this demonstrates his enormous popularity all around the world.

R. Kelly Personal Life
Joanne, Kelly’s mother, passed away in 1993 due to complications arising from cancer. He has provided tales that contradict each other regarding where he was when his mother passed away.
