Pastor Wife Was Kidnapped And Murdered In Rivers

A resident of the Abarikpo community in the Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mrs. Chigbewejim Lawyer, was kidnapped and murdered by individuals suspected of belonging to Icelandic cults.

Two children’s mother was kidnapped early on Sunday, February 12, 2023, and her body was discovered later that day.

PM NEWS has learned that Mrs. Lawyer was taken at around 1 a.m., and her body was discovered in Abarikpo at 10 a.m. with multiple injuries and blood in her private region.

Pastor Lawyer Steward, the victim’s husband and an assistant pastor at Seventh Day Adventist Abarikpo, told reporters that his wife had been raped.

“I am the spouse of Chigbejim Lawyer, who was brutally raped and murdered by a gang of teenage males.

I am not a cult member; instead, I serve as the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Abarikpo’s Assistant Pastor in charge of Evangelism. All the locals know I’m not into cults.

She had three babies, but one of them arrived a little late. A female and a male, aged three, are the eldest of the survivors at age seven.

Those responsible for my wife’s death should be brought to justice, and I’m telling the government that. Despite this, a cultist named Aka Sunday has claimed he murdered my wife because she dissented from his beliefs and spread rumors about him to others. He killed her because, as he claims, Sunday is a cult member.

Mr. Steward further mentioned to our reporter that on Sunday night, the DPO and several officers from the Ahoada Police Division in Ahoada town visited the spot.

Mr. Ekeakita Hector Chinem, the public relations officer for the Igbu Akoh Clan Youth Congress in the Ahoada East Local Government Area, confirmed the kidnapping and rape of journalists.

There has been a rash of murders here in Akoh. They kill, and no one comes after them. Nobody from security ever goes after the evil guys. All political leaders ignore the topic. Fear has gripped the populace. Everything that will happen will happen whether you report it or not.

To put it another way, “people are living in fear. Because she was married at the time of her death, the cult cannot be responsible for her murder. Eleven people were shot and killed there towards the end of last year. After one of last year’s eleven murders, a cult member snatched their master’s AK-47 from their base and made a break for it, eventually settling in the Abarikpo neighborhood.

“The cult leader sent his boys to kill eleven innocent people, and the police have done absolutely nothing to this day,” the article reads.

Supposed cultists have wreaked devastation in the area, with residents living in constant terror that they would be next.

The Centre has criticized Mrs. Lawyer’s kidnapping and subsequent rape and murder for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign.

Its national coordinator, Prince Wiro, has asked the police to crack down hard on the thugs responsible.

Remember that on December 15, 2022, James Bright, aka Borokiri, a suspected notorious Iceland cultist, was gunned down in an exchange of gunfire with the Police.

The Police Command has not commented on the incident as of the writing of this story.
