The three men who were killed in the terrible accident on Beck Street a week ago have all been identified as highly respected members of the Utah construction industry. The mishap happened on Saturday, July 29, 2023, shortly after 11 p.m. Robert Pikus (age 46), Joseph Torman (age 46), and Joseph Vashaw (age 43) were the passengers on board the Tesla.

After the collision, the automobile began to catch fire. The police arrived to find the car fully engulfed in flames. The three bodies were located inside the vehicle. In a tragic car accident on July 29, 2023, spouse “Joe Torman,” father “Joe Torman,” son “Joe Torman,” brother “Joe Torman,” and friend “Joe Torman” lost his life. Joseph Robert Torman was born to loving parents Reed and Kathy (Osmond) Torman on January 8, 1977, in Ogden, Utah.
He graduated from BYU with a degree in Construction Management. He wed BYU student Barbara Celeste Bell on September 8, 2001, in the Bountiful Temple. Joe and Celeste have five beautiful children that they cherish more than everything.
Over the course of his 21 years of marriage, he built dozens of homes for families in need. Joe raised his children to respect family, friendship, hard work, and faith. He gave his children the strength to face adversity head-on and keep going.

As president of the Lotus Company, Joe oversaw daily operations. Joe was well-liked and well-respected by all members of the Lotus team because of his reputation for patiently coaching them to success. Joe was a kindhearted donor. His main passion was for people, however, he also had a soft spot for travel and animals.
Joe was grateful for the connections he had made with people all over the world through his work and his local community. Joe leaves behind his wife Celeste, five kids, parents Reed and Kathy Torman, brothers Josh (Megan) Torman and Kami (Tracy) Nielsen, and many relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends.
