Krystle Monks, who was just 19 years old when she passed away on February 4, was found inside a home in the suburb of Bundamba in Ipswich by a man who is now 21 years old and has been charged with her murder by the Queensland Police.
After Ms. Monks passed out at that location at 9:30 p.m. on the previous Saturday, the police were summoned. She was in a severe condition when she was rushed to the hospital, but she passed away Sunday evening.
Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch and Homicide Investigation Unit detectives have been looking into the circumstances surrounding her passing. They have arrested a 21-year-old man from Dinmore in Richlands due to their investigation.
According to the police, Ms. Monks was familiar with the suspect.
He is scheduled to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow regarding the murder accusation against him.
The police are still looking into the matter, and they have encouraged anyone who may have any information to come forward.
Larissa Miller, acting as the Detective Division’s superintendent, stated a week ago that “Ms. Monks’ family are profoundly upset by the loss of their loved one.”
She is a much-loved daughter, grandchild, and sister in addition to being sister.
Her family expressed their hope that Ms. Monks will be remembered as “always lovely” and “forever young” in a statement they released.
