The Big 4 Review: Recognizing The Big 4

The Big 4 Review: The “Big Four” refers to the four largest accounting companies in the United States in terms of revenue. Deloitte, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler are the big four (KPMG).

The Big Four also provide tax consulting, management consulting, valuation, market research, assurance, and legal advising services in addition to traditional auditing. They are the go-to authority on accounting and auditing changes and the interpretation of tax legislation.

For modern businesses, the Big Four also provides digital transformation consultancy.

The Big 4 Review

In the exciting Indonesian film The Big 4, four former assassins reunite to settle old debts. Timo Tjahjanto and Johanna Wattimena co-wrote and directed the film. Further, it can be seen in its entirety in exactly two hours and twenty-one minutes.

Actors Abimana Aryasatya (Topan), Putri Marino (Tina), Lutesha (Alpha), Arie Kriting (sniper Jenggo), and Kristo Immanuel (Pelor) round out the film’s ensemble cast. In addition, Batara Goempar is in charge of photography, and Dinda Amanda is in charge of post-production.

The movie opens with a standard introduction sequence, in which the assassins rush in guns blazing, and quickly transition into a thrilling rescue operation. Topan, the leading gritty muscular power, Jenggo, the pitch-perfect sniper, no-nonsense Alpha, and the customary bait, Pelor, all make their debuts here.

In addition, the group finally gets to see their mentor after the destructive operation, and then they leave the scene. As it turns out, the mentor also has a daughter named Tina, and she reared the four siblings who make up the cum assassin gang. When the team finds out that their mentor’s daughter is about to join the police force, their relationship with him alters dramatically.

The murder of the guide, however, throws an additional wrench into the narrative and sends everyone into a tizzy. What follows is a riotous medley of eccentricities, comedy, and action.

This Indonesian action film features a level of intensity rarely seen in the genre. People explode like cartoon characters, yet it’s not graphic or unpleasant. The humor actually mitigates the impact of the gory images, turning the experience into an exciting journey.

Perhaps the first thirty minutes will remind you of yet another generic Kill Bill knockoff. On the other hand, the rest of the screenplay does a fantastic job of stirring up opposition to the stereotype. And the end result is a blend of very active, freshly harvested components.

In an all-out action film, the actors are typically given no room to show their stuff. In addition, the destiny of nearly all of the characters is dependent on the climactic showdown. Topan is the most powerful protagonist in The Big 4, while Antonia is the most dangerous antagonist (at least until the climax). In the end, the film throws out the window whatever preconceptions you may have had about action films and takes you on a voyage that is enjoyable, humorous, and unexpected.

Recognizing The Big 4

Recognizing The Big 4

The Big 8 has been reduced to the Big Four as a result of industry consolidation that began in 1989. In alphabetical order, these eight businesses were the American and British firms Arthur Andersen, Arthur Young, Coopers & Lybrand, Deloitte Haskin & Sells, Ernst & Whinney, Peat Marwick Mitchell, Price Waterhouse, and Touche Ross.

We are now down to six firms after Arthur Young merged with Ernst & Whinney and Deloitte Haskin & Sells merged with Touche Ross. As a result, there are now five major accounting firms following the merger of Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand. When Arthur Andersen went under due to their responsibility in the Enron crisis, the original five were reduced to the current four.

1. Some of the largest public companies in the world have their audits handled by one of the “Big Four” consulting firms. In reality, most of the Fortune 500 have one of the Big Four audit their financial accounts.

Companies like Berkshire Hathaway, Ford Motor Company, Apple, ExxonMobil, and Amazon are among the Big Four’s many high-profile clientele. Thirty percent (30%) of the S&P 500 were audited by PwC, 31% by EY, 20% by Deloitte, and 19% by KPMG, according to a report published in 2018 by the CFA Institute.

2. All but a small handful of publicly traded corporations remained to rely on the Big Four for SEC audits in 2022.

3. The Big Four are recognized as leaders in their field because of their comprehensive understanding of businesses and industries.

They have comprehensive programs for bringing in new graduates and training them, and they provide highly sought-after pathways for tax and consulting experts to move between different industries.

The Big 4 Story

The assassins Topan, Alpha, Jenggo, and Pelor function as a close-knit family and share a home. They’re known as The Big 4 and their adoptive father, Petrus, raised them to excel.

For the sake of his daughter Dina, who has no interest in his career, Petrus decides to retire. Yet on the day of her commencement, he is slain in his own home.

When Dina returns home, she finds her dying father. The man she believes murdered her father is seated next to him as he lies in his death throes, wearing his cap. She fires a shot at him, but he manages to get away.

After three years, Dina joins the police force and works tirelessly, but she has not yet identified the killer of her father. An old photograph of her father and his four kids inspires her to track them down in search of the killer.

The girl visits Bersi Island to meet Topan and grill him on her father. It’s not clear to her that she’s being pursued by men with murderous intentions.

The Big Four have each moved on with their lives, but they are forced to rejoin when danger threatens. They, together with Dina, have to seek revenge on their father’s killer.

The Big 4 Positives

There is a good balance between gunplay and hand-to-hand combat, and the action sequences are expertly executed.

The movie is funny, and it’s safe to say that it hits all the right notes. Scenes that successfully mix action and humor exist.

As a bonus, the portrayal of the Big 4’s friendship and the special role that each of them plays on the team is endearing and fun to watch. Since this is the only family any of them have ever known, their affection for one another is implicitly established.

The Big 4 Negatives

The plot is simplistic and the picture is packed to the gills with action, as is usual in Hollywood action movies.

Feelings of grief or anxiety were not evoked in me by this film. Audience members don’t seem to care that Pelor is being kept prisoner or that Petrus has been murdered.
