A full trailer for Season 2 of Shadow and Bone will debut on Netflix tomorrow. A new poster, “Every power has a price,” was unveiled on the show’s official Twitter account, further piqueing fans’ interest. The second season is inspired by Leigh Bardugo’s young adult fantasy books Siege and Storm and Ruin and Rising.

The series follows Alina Starkov (Jessie Mei Li), an orphaned Grisha who learns she is the Sun Summoner. Hence, she will be victorious over the Shadow Fold’s monsters. Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows, two of Leigh Bardugo’s most well-known Grishaverse novel series, are the inspiration for the original fantasy series. The best part about Season 2 is that we finally get to continue the story of those individuals who were left in such a bind at the end of Season 1.
Executive producer and co-showrunner Eric Heisserer tells Tudum that the upcoming season holds great promise for the characters. They’ll learn from their mistakes and encounter exciting individuals on the way. The mythology and cast of characters in the Grishaverse also grow this season.
