Launching on both Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on January 27th, the former will have a remastered edition with 4K resolution, improved frame rates, and split-screen local multiplayer, among other enhancements.

Since Nintendo is using the original game, the Nintendo Switch version will be the only one with online multiplayer capabilities. The Xbox version of Microsoft’s “faithful reproduction” of GoldenEye 007 features local multiplayer for split-screen play with pals. As part of its Nintendo Switch Online service, Nintendo is publishing the GoldenEye 007 video game. In 2021, the service introduced support for N64 titles, but you had to spring for the expensive Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack plan to play them.

Xbox players may look forward to the standard story mode, as well as cheats, dual-analog control, and resolutions as high as 4K in its native 16:9 aspect ratio.
