Bryan Cranston, who plays a disgraced former judge who has lost everything he cares about, returns with a stunning new look for the second season of Your Honor.
Michael Desiato (Cranston) saw his world turned upside down when his teenage son, Adam (Wednesday’s Hunter Doohan), killed another adolescent in a hit-and-run accident.
The death of the youngster, already a horrific tragedy, was compounded by the knowledge that he was the son of a major crime leader who would undoubtedly seek brutal revenge.
Michael goes to great pains to conceal his son Adam’s criminal activity, but his attempts are in vain when Adam is shot at a party and dies in front of his father.
According to Cranston, “What would you do to safeguard the life of your child?” was the central question of Season 1 of Your Honor. In my experience as a father, the answer is endless. Michael’s motive for telling lies and committing crimes was to protect his son.
The Breaking Bad actor has remarked that he looks like a “feral animal” in the second season of Your Honor, and he has explained that he has dropped a lot of weight and grown a huge beard to play Michael’s degeneration.
“I was thinking about how Michael has changed since the catastrophe,” Cranston said. Having lost his honor and his friends, he is now left with nothing. Season 2 finds him as an entirely new character.

The official synopsis (provided by Showtime) reads as follows: “Bryan Cranston returns as ex-judge Michael Desiato, a man compelled to face the debris of his past life. After being disbarred, shamed, and nearly ruined, he is brought back from the brink only when a government agent forces him to participate in a plot to kill the Baxter family.
