Francesca Orsi, executive VP of programming at HBO, remarked, “Julian Fellowes and the entire GILDED AGE family have fully enthralled us with their tale of late 19th century New York City excess.” “Our friends at Universal Television and we are thrilled to be continuing our journey with this phenomenal cast and crew for Season 2.”
New episodes of The Gilded Age will launch in 2023, according to a teaser film produced in conjunction with the premiere of House of the Dragon, though an exact premiere date has not yet been announced.

While Marian is busy in California, her close friend and confidante, Peggy Scott, is making her way in the world of the Black elite in Brooklyn. Will the old social norms survive in this shiny new world on the cusp of the modern era, or will there be a complete rewrite of the rules?
Fellowes told Us Weekly that he was pleased with the development of Season 2, while he acknowledged that some viewers could object to the show’s new course.
