When Will Euphoria Season 3 Be Released?
Even though we know it will happen, there is no set date for the premiere of Euphoria Season 3. Production problems with COVID-19 caused a significant delay in the release of Euphoria Season 2, but the release of two bonus episodes made the wait more bearable.

Season three was previously predicted to premiere in early 2023, but we’re crossing our fingers that these problems won’t affect the show going forward.
However, Eric Dane (Nate’s father Cal Jacobs) of Grey’s Anatomy has somewhat popped that optimistic bubble.
Although the actor told Variety that filming might begin as soon as November, that doesn’t necessarily indicate that the show’s premiere date will be in the new year.
“I just saw something that said 2024 which kind of makes sense,” he said. “I mean, we’ll go back and shoot maybe in November. I don’t know. I haven’t heard. It’s always going to be changing.”
However, there has been no official word since then that production will begin in November, and it is currently the month of November as this is being written.
However, according to Production Weekly, there are already plans in place to begin shooting in February of 2023. If this holds true, then the cast and crew will return to the set nearly a year to the day after the season two finale aired.
If all that turns out to be true, we won’t see any new episodes until late 2023. Realistically, we should see season three air somewhere in early 2024, two years after season two concluded.
Characters In Euphoria Season 3?
And now things start to get exciting. There were rumors of a conflict between creator Sam Levinson and star Barbie Ferreira, and other reports of turbulence behind the scenes that affected Season 2 of Euphoria.
On Instagram in August, Ferreira revealed that she will not be returning as Kat for the show’s third season, explaining, “It’s with a heavy heart that I have to say goodbye to Kat, the character I’ve gotten to play for the past four years. I sincerely pray that many of you were able to relate to her development into the person she is now and that her story brought you joy.

We haven’t heard any further casting news except Ferreira leaving just yet. We can probably count on seeing Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Colman Domingo, Eric Dane, and Storm Reid return.
Theories Regarding The Third Season Of Euphoria
Nothing concrete has been revealed about the third season of Euphoria’s story. Still, if Rue’s narration is any indication, there will likely be a time leap between the end of season 2 and when season 3 picks up, as she mentions “keeping clean for the rest of the school year.”
The fact that Zendaya said, “I think it’ll be great to explore the characters out of high school,” in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter seems to reinforce this. I’m curious to see how Rue’s sobriety process manifests itself physically. Consequently, we will not only have a sombre Rue but will also be relocating further away from the school.
Zendaya has stated that she wants Rue to find true “happy,” and that she wants to add “kindness and some joy” to Rue’s journey. So far, the characters of Euphoria haven’t been able to have any lasting joy, so let’s see whether it actually occurs.
The second season finale left us with many unanswered questions, and while we won’t get an official description for some time, we can’t wait to find out what happens next.
We need an answer to our first and most pressing question: what the hell happened to Fez? To avoid getting caught in the crossfire between the SWAT squad and Ashtray, the lovable drug dealer was last seen sleeping in his hallway. After his careless rampage, Ashtray is almost certainly dead, and Fez is probably going to prison because he took the blame for Custer’s death.
Speaking of incarceration, we can assume that Cal Jacobs will spend some time behind bars after his son Nate turned him into the authorities for his long history of sexual deviance. But Nate hasn’t let on about his plans. Is the bad boy of Euphoria High School making amends for his ways, or does he have more fish to fry than just his father?
Don’t overlook Zendaya’s outstanding performance as Rue Bennett. Apparently having gotten her act together, Rue is in a decent place by the end of season two. Her relationship with Jules may be gone, but it seems to have ended on pretty good terms, and she has apologized to people she affected during her worst days of addiction. Surely, in season 3, Rue will pay for losing Laurie, the frightening drug boss, ten grand worth of pills.
While speaking with Variety, Zendaya expressed her desire to “explore [Rue’s] life in the future, closer to the other side and her sobriety path.” Wow, that sounds great! We don’t get a lot of happy endings in Euphoria, though, so where Rue winds up remains to be seen.
Finally, as if all that tension hadn’t already reached a crescendo, it did so in the season 2 finale when everything boiled over between Cassie and Maddy. Following Maddy’s claim that Cassie had stolen her boyfriend, Nate Jacobs, the two got into a fight during Lexi’s play that left them both injured. Maddy tells Cassie, “Don’t worry, this is only the beginning” after Nate ends things with her, implying that the heartbreak is only the beginning.
