Blue Protocol Beta: Amazon Games announced a new publishing deal with Bandai Namco Online Inc. on Thursday, December 8th, at The Game Awards, for the release of Blue Protocol in North America, Europe, South America, Australia, and New Zealand. Blue Protocol is a multiplayer online action role-playing game with beautiful, anime-inspired art. Free-to-play Blue Protocol will debut in the second half of 2023 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, following a Closed Beta on PC in the spring.
“Blue Protocol is a beautifully crafted game; it’s like an anime come to life,” said Christoph Hartmann, vice president of Amazon Games. Bandai Namco Online has made a high-quality world with a fascinating plot that will bring people together and drag them into an exciting adventure. Blue Protocol will be available to Western players sometime next year, and we couldn’t be more excited about the continued rise in popularity of anime around the world.
Bandai Namco Online Inc. and Bandai Namco Studios’ Blue Protocol is an action RPG that sends players on a heroic quest through Regnas, a world on the verge of oblivion due to millennia of war and technological overuse. As a team, players must work together to defeat formidable foes by channeling Flux, a mysterious light.
At launch, players can create a character from scratch or select one of five premade classes: the stalwart Blade Warden, the courageous Twin Striker, the adaptable Keen Strider, the powerful Spell Weaver, or the devastating Foe Breaker. The players will be able to recover their past and fight for the survival of the world with the help of Echoes, magical creatures they can summon for powerful attacks.

How Much Does Blue Protocol Cost to Play?
The Blue Protocol is a free-to-play game that features in-app purchases. Since the class system isn’t like Genshin Impact’s (there aren’t any predefined characters, instead the player creates their own avatar), we expect the cosmetics to be purely cosmetic and not pay-to-win or gacha. This comes after Amazon Games made an effort to “Westernize” the microtransactions in Lost Ark and remove pay-to-win elements from New World.
