Tyra Banks Leaves “Dancing With the Stars”

As Tyra Banks leaves the gala, we hear: According to Deadline, she will no longer host the Disney+ version of Dancing with the Stars.

After Tom Bergeron left the program after Season 29, Banks was brought in to replace him on ABC. Her time on the show was a mixed bag; she brought a new spark to the event, but her interactions in real-time with the judges and participants were often stilted. Even the professional dancers, who have been the show’s main draw for many years, were overshadowed by her spectacular entrances.

Banks danced with Alfonso Ribeiro, the Mirrorball Champion from Season 19, on DWTS last year.
We don’t know when Disney+ will announce a new season of DWTS, but we know it will.

Judge Len Goodman announced his departure from the franchise last year, and professional dancers Cheryl Burke and Mark Ballas followed suit by saying they would no longer be appearing on the show.

The streaming service has not disclosed audience figures for the dancing competition show, which has been in the news due to controversial casting choices and intense performances.
