Class is Netflix’s Indian version of the smash Spanish-language series Elite, and it features messy teen romance, high school drama, and a splash of murder.
The new drama, like its before, centers on three underprivileged kids who win admission to a top-tier university. But once a student is murdered in a suspicious circumstance, their delight quickly turns to fear as they become entangled in a web of class struggle, secrets, and betrayal.
Fans of the Spanish version will recognize a lot of the story and characters here (they’ve been taken wholesale), but the show can stand on its own if it’s given a second season.

When she and Neeraj were trying to get away and start a new life together, Sharan found them and beat them to death with her Hampton Gold medal. He had caught her because the phone she had taken from Koel and her family had embarrassing information about them.

Without stopping to change, Sharan sprinted away from the scene, Suhani’s blood splattered on his shirt. He was headed for Koel.
His explanation: “I did this for us.” “It’s over for you now; you can’t hate me. It was me who succeeded where Balli had failed.”
She is shocked at first, but it doesn’t stop her from getting rid of the murder weapon and Sharan’s dirty clothes. She quickly seems to have accepted his behavior after some time has passed.
She promises her parents, “I won’t allow anyone to tarnish our family’s name.”
