Up until 2020, Stan was dating the Spanish actress Alejandra Onieva.
The two had kept their relationship mostly under wraps, barring the occasional social media update. Onieva gushed, “I am so proud of Stan,” after the premiere of his film that past Monday, April 2021. In August of the following year, for his birthday, she shared a touching video montage of their time together.
“Today, many, many … years ago, my favourite soul came to life,” wrote Onieva, 29. “Even if I were to say everything I could think of to describe you, it still wouldn’t be enough. Sending birthday wishes to the lovely @imsebastianstan on behalf of everyone here at.”

Prior to his role as Bucky Barnes in the MCU, Stan was best recognized for his role as Carter Baizen on Gossip Girl, which aired on The CW. He met his ex-girlfriend Leighton Meester through his recurring role in the teen drama, and the two started dating in 2008.

In the 1994 Austrian drama 71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance, Sebastian Stan made his film debut. A film version of the “environmental/immersive theatre” performance, “Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding,” was released in 2004, and he played the role of “Johnny Nunzio.” In 2005, he appeared in “Red Doors,” a film directed by Georgia Lee. The film took home the trophy for best narrative feature at the 2005 ‘Tribeca Film Festival.’
