The passing of Sevaughn came just days after the death of his father, Paul Herbst. On Saturday, after returning from a rescue mission in earthquake-stricken areas of Turkey, Paul Herbst tragically passed away. Paul Herbst led Medi Response KZN as its director.
Upon hearing of his passing, Medi Response KZN issued the following statement: “On behalf of the whole Medi Response team, we would like to send our profound sympathies to his family, friends, and employees during this terrible time.”

Sevaughn Herbst’s mom says that in a few days, they lost two close relatives. After the passing of both the father and son, the Herbst family now consists of just Linda and Skyler Herbst.
His funeral will be held at Ballito’s Grace Family Church at 11 a.m. on February 28, 2023. Tammy Verwey, heartbroken at Sevaughn Herbst’s passing, penned a letter to his family. On Saturday, Paul Herbst, the director of Medi Response in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal, passed away after returning from relief efforts in earthquake-ravaged Turkey.
Paul Herbst’s death was confirmed on Tuesday via a statement released by Medi Respond. The death of Paul Herbst has left the staff and management at Medi Response deeply heartbroken, as expressed in a post on the company’s Facebook page.
As mentioned in the statement, “On behalf of the whole Medi Response team, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and coworkers during this difficult time.”
Medi Response claims that Herbst was an industry leader respected by his peers and committed to his work.
