American football quarterback John Matthew Stafford is now with the Los Angeles Rams in the National Football League. The Detroit Lions selected him as the first overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft after he started his football career at the University of Georgia.
Among the top 12 in all-time pass attempts, completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns, Stafford has had a stellar NFL career. Not only is he the fastest player in NFL history to surpass 40,000 career passing yards, but he presently ranks fifth all-time in passing yards per game.
From 2009 until 2020, Stafford played for the Detroit Lions. He had some memorable seasons there, most notably in 2011, when he became one of just four quarterbacks in NFL history to pass for more than 5,000 yards in one season.
He also contributed to the Lions earning their first postseason trip in more than ten years. In addition to winning two more playoff campaigns with the Lions, Stafford was named to the Pro Bowl and set a record for comeback victories.

The fans have been informed about Kelly Stafford’s latest health scare by her husband, Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams quarterback. After receiving a diagnosis of acoustic neuroma, the former University of Georgia cheerleader underwent surgery in 2019 to remove a brain tumor.
Kelly Stafford is denying allegations that she is battling cancer, stating that the untrue information has “infuriated” her. “If journalists actually took time to check facts these days, they would know this. I’m infuriated,” she wrote, addressing the reports in an Instagram caption as well as in a post on her Instagram stories.
Stafford shared a since-deleted tweet from a BroBible reporter titled “Matthew Stafford’s Wife Kelly Thinks She Might Have Cancer Again.” Stafford is the 35-year-old wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford.
After Stafford talked about getting some tests done, a rumor began. “All of a sudden, I’m getting like this awful mid-back, upper-back pain. I feel like my stomach’s not great. And in the back of my mind, I’m thinking I have f—ing cancer,” she said on her podcast The Morning After, where she discusses her family and personal life as well as news and current affairs.
In April 2019, Stafford, 34, was identified as having an acoustic neuroma, a benign brain tumor. However, this time, she was diagnosed with a nasty stomach illness, as she later revealed on her podcast.

“I did not have cancer, but I was terrified of the possibility considering what I had been feeling,” she wrote on Instagram. “[I] REITERATED IT SEVERAL TIMES that it was ruled out.” “This is part of the reason I don’t want to share my life.. people take it and use it as click bait,” wrote Stafford.
“Most the time I wouldn’t care what people wrote because it didn’t matter. THIS MATTERS. This matters because it takes away from the people who are fighting this horrible disease.. fighting to live another day, fighting to be there with the ones they love, fighting 24/7,” she wrote.
“So PLEASE send your prayers to them. I will reiterate it again, I do not have cancer and I have never had cancer.” Stafford had a 12-hour surgery in 2019 to remove the brain tumor pressing against her cranial nerves.
She disclosed at the time that several problems caused the process to take twice as long as planned, even though the initial timetable called for a six-hour duration. The mother of four daughters, Tyler, 3, Hunter, 4, and identical twins Sawyer and Chandler, 6, says she has empathy for anyone facing cancer.

In an earlier letter, she expressed her gratitude to her spouse for supporting her during her prior sickness, writing: “Thank you Matthew. Thank you for taking care of me and our family and always putting us first. Thank you for always being my rock and keeping me at ease during the toughest time of my life. Im lucky to know you and the man you are.. but mostly, I’m lucky you chose me to do life with. Thank you.”
