Though most of the kids their kids would grow up with would have nannies because their parents were too busy working, Vanessa and Kobe Bryant understood they wanted to be more active in their kids’ lives and emphasize their family. Gianna Maria Onore Bryant was born to Vanessa in May, three years after Natalia.
Gianna Bryant, a ferocious basketball player who went by Mambacita after her mother and father’s nicknames, was generally considered the most like her father. Before she and her mother left, she was being coached by her father, and she made no secret of her ambition to play in the Women’s National Basketball Association.
As a result of their relationship problems in 2011, they had their second child, a baby girl, in December 2016. When Bianka Bella Bryant’s father and older sister passed away, she was just a kindergartener. The BB moniker was given to her by her dad. Capri Bryant, the youngest Bryant girl, was born on June 20. Both Kobe and Vanessa were ecstatic to become parents to a daughter.
Despite the fact that many people told Kobe Bryant he needed a son to ensure the continuation of his legacy, the basketball star was happy to have daughters instead.
Vanessa talked about how being a mom has made her more patient and understanding in one of the rare interviews she gave when her husband and daughter were still living at home. For her daughters, she wants to be the stable foundation that her mother was for her.

Associated Pressaug 24, 2022 Vanessa Bryant Receives $16 Million for Kobe Crash Photos
On Wednesday, a federal jury ordered Los Angeles County to pay Kobe Bryant’s widow $16 million for emotional distress caused by deputies and firefighters sharing photos of the NBA star and his daughter’s bodies at the 2020 helicopter crash site.
Vanessa Bryant and her attorneys argued that the photos of Kobe Bryant’s remains and their 13-year-old daughter Gianna invaded her privacy and caused her emotional distress. The nine jurors agreed.
The jury deliberated for 4 1/2 hours. As it was read, Vanessa Bryant cried quietly. Outside the courtroom, a county attorney declined to comment on the verdict.
The pictures were mostly shared by LA County sheriff’s and fire department employees, including those playing video games and attending an awards banquet. They were also seen by some spouses and a deputy’s bartender.
During the 11-day trial, Vanessa Bryant tearfully testified that news of the photos compounded her still-raw grief a month after losing her husband and daughter, and that she still has panic attacks at the thought that they may still be out there.
She testified, “I live in fear every day of being on social media and these popping up.” “I fear these appearing on my daughters’ social media.” Chris Chester, whose wife and daughter were also killed in the crash, received $15 million. Chester’s attorney gave jurors suggested guidelines that would have resulted in tens of millions for each plaintiff, while Vanessa Bryant’s attorneys did not. Vanessa Bryant’s lawyer Luis Li told jurors that the close-up photos were “visual gossip” shared out of gruesome curiosity.
County attorney J. Mira Hashmall argued during the trial that the photos were necessary for assessing the situation. She admitted they shouldn’t have been shown to everyone. However, she stressed that the photos had never been publicly displayed or seen by the plaintiffs. She said Sheriff Alex Villanueva and other officials’ order to delete the photos was decisive and effective.
Kobe Bryant, the former Lakers star, five-time NBA champion, and Basketball Hall of Fame member, was travelling with Gianna and seven others to a youth basketball game when their helicopter crashed into hills in Calabasas west of Los Angeles on Jan. 26, 2020.
