The famous American actor Robert Blake has left the entertainment industry. But, he is best known for being put on trial for the 2001 murder of his second wife and ultimately being found not guilty.
Bonny Lee Bakley, Robert Blake’s wife, was shot dead in 2001 while riding in the trunk of her car. After a year had passed, the Hollywood star was detained and accused of her murder. Robert, now 84 years old, was acquitted after a public trial.

Blake’s first starring role was in one of the final years of the Metro-Goldwyn-Our Mayer’s Gang (Little Rascals) short film series (1939–1944). This was the start of his career.

Still, Robert hadn’t made it through the worst of it. The court ruled that Bakley was responsible for the death of his mother, and all three of his children filed a wrongful death suit against him. The settlement reduced his original $30 million judgement to $15 million.

Robert made his film acting debut in “Bridal Suite” when he was six. After that, his roles in MGM’s “Our Gang” short film series propelled him to stardom. As early as 17, he had previously appeared in films like “The Black Rose” and “Black Hand.”
