The English actor Sir Patrick Stewart OBE (born 13 July 1940) has been active in the industry for over seven decades. He has been nominated for several awards, including the Olivier, Tony, Golden Globe, Emmy, and SAG. A star was dedicated to him on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on December 16, 1996. In addition, in 2010, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his contributions to the theatre.
Stewart was born to Gladys (a weaver and textile worker) and Alfred Stewart (a farmer) on July 13, 1940, in Mirfield, West Riding of Yorkshire, England (1905–1980). His two older brothers are Geoffrey (1933) and Trevor (1934). In the 1980s, he utilized the middle name “Hewes” in his professional life, even though his parents never gave him a middle name.
Before this, the 82-year-old actor was wrongly outed as gay in a Guardian article about Ellen Page’s coming out. The newspaper was quick to retract its first homophobic portrayal of Stewart.
All this started when he was spotted having lunch with Sir Ian McKellen, a known gay actor. Meanwhile, the fact that they were caught kissing spread rumors that he is gay as well, much like his pal. Does this mean that Patrick Stewart is gay? What is it?
Is Patrick Stewart Gay?
Patrick Stewart is not gay, and that much is public knowledge. He married his high school girlfriend, Sunny Ozell, in October last year, with his good friend Ian McKellen officiating. After his weekend praise of actress Ellen Page’s public coming out, the Guardian of the United Kingdom wrongly outed Stewart, 73, as gay the following day.
Speculation that Patrick might be gay was stoked when he backed a column by Jane Czyzselska on Page’s coming out using their definition of gay.
Several celebrities, including Sir Patrick Stewart, have expressed their delight at Ellen Page’s recent coming out as a lesbian. The Juno star, now 26 years old, announced her sexual orientation last Friday at a Las Vegas gathering for LGBT youth.
A commentator for The Guardian noted that “some gay persons, such as Sir Patrick Stewart, think Page’s coming-out speech is significant.” Page stated that she was “weary of concealing” and “lying by omission.”
Correction: “This should have read, “Some people, including Sir Patrick Stewart, think Page’s coming-out speech is newsworthy.” was published in the article. The public and the media alike mistook his acts as indicators of his sexual orientation. Sir Patrick Stewart’s sexuality is heterosexual, despite popular belief. Happily married, he has no desire to date anybody else.

What We Need To Know About Patrick Stewart’s Personal Life?
His private life is just as fascinating as his public career. This phenomenal performer tied the knot three times. In 1966, he wed Sheila Falconer, the mother of his two sons. They divorced in 1990 after being married for 24 years.
His second wife, film producer Wendy Neuss, was his second choice. Only from August of 2000 to 2003 was this in effect. Sir Patrick, on the other hand, did not give up on marriage after the first two attempts but did so on the third. His present spouse is 38 years younger than him so she could be mistaken for his daughter.
Still, that was the other’s viewpoint, and the couple didn’t care. American singer and composer Sunny Ozell were born on December 23, 1978. In 2008, while living in New York, Sir Patrick Stewart met Sunny, then working as a waitress at Franny’s. He happened to be in town for a presentation of Macbeth at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
Here is a recent post on Twitter by Patrick Stewart with his wife, Sunny Ozell:
Brilliant night at the #BAFTA. I’m always delighted to be back home 🇬🇧 It was a pleasure to present Best British Film and honour the many talented filmmakers, actors and artists in the Royal Albert Hall last evening. pic.twitter.com/tpeX2hjBUF

Sir Ian McKellen celebrated their marriage in 2013. However, Sunny’s idea was to have his friend chosen to celebrate their wedding.
His firstborn, Daniel, was born in 1967, and his second, Sophia, was born in 1968. Like his famous actor dad, Daniel has followed in his footsteps and entered the world of television acting. In the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “The Light Within” from 1992 and the TV movie “Death Train” from 1993, he co-starred as his father, the great Leonard Nimoy.
