To paraphrase, “I’m sure he would want everyone to know that he appreciates all of the prayers offered up on his behalf!!!” Alyssa Orange, a Fox 24 anchor who covers the Razorbacks, said that Hillis, 36, was flown to the hospital by helicopter following the accident on the beach.
She updated her Twitter on Thursday to say, “He remains unconscious in the ICU,” after Greg Hillis had initially shared the news. “We beg that you pray for his rapid recovery as his loved ones request it.” The former running back spent time with the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, and New York Giants during his NFL career, which spanned from 2008 to 2014. He has subsequently transitioned to acting and was featured on the cover of Madden ’12.
Hillis has two children with his ex-wife Amanda Hillis and is rumored to be dating his co-star from the independent film The Hunting, actress Angela Cole.
