Carrot Top earned his degree in marketing from the University in 1983. Although he took his first job at a local bank as a courier, he never stopped pursuing his dream of being a comedian. Before he finally resigned his day job in 1990 to pursue stand-up full-time, he would use his spare time to perform at local comedy shows.

Carrot Top’s popularity stemmed from his clever stage name and his innovative use of props to enhance his humour. His fame allowed him to appear as a guest on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno in 1992. His popularity and fan base grew as a result of his appearance there.

Scott has made guest appearances on several television programs, such as Larry the Cable Guy’s “Christmas Spectacular,” George Lopez’s “The Jeep 4*4 who wanted to Fly,” Chris Angel’s “Mindfreak,” Gene Simmons’ “The Fairly Jewel,” and Space Ghosts Coast to Coast. In addition to starring in and producing “Carrot Tops AM Mayhem” (an early morning show) from 1994–1996, he worked as a continuity announcer for the cartoon network from 1995–1999.
