Black Panther 3

Will There Be A Black Panther 3, Release Date, The Story, And Who Could Potentially Return In Black Panther 3?

Marvel’s Black Panther’s Wakanda Forever sets up the 3rd film well. After Chadwick Boseman’s untimely death, the sequel to 2018’s Black Panther went through some drastic changes in development, eventually delivering a story that explored the Wakandans’ grief at losing their King, then their Queen, and finally seeing the new Black Panther rise as Shuri creates a synthetic heart-shaped herb. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the MCU’s fourth-phase finale, was a hit, making a third film likely, though nothing has been confirmed.

Ryan Coogler has many ideas for a third Black Panther film if Marvel Studios announces one. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever also introduced new civilizations and characters, such as Namor, the leader of Talokan, a mutant city under the sea. Black Panther 3 and beyond may introduce some highly anticipated characters from Wakanda Forever, which masterfully set up epic adventures for Wakanda and the MCU.

Will There Be A Black Panther 3?

A third Black Panther feature had not been confirmed prior to the release of Wakanda Forever, but a message reading “Black Panther will return” at the film’s conclusion makes it seem increasingly likely that we will be receiving another installment.

Wright has now told Variety that he believes work on the third film is beginning: “I believe preparations have begun.

“You know, we just had a terrific two years of bringing it out and everybody coming together to support it. We need a little bit of a break, we need to regroup and [director] Ryan [Coogler] needs to get back into the lab, so it’s going to take a little while, but we’re really excited for you guys to see that.”

Just a few months before, in late October 2022, producer Nate Moore had told Collider, “We really want to see how people accept the film, and I think Ryan [Coogler] is really eager in seeing how the film plays before we decide.”

Also, he said “We’ve discussed potential plot points for a third picture if we ever get the opportunity to create one. However, we’re being a little superstitious until the movie comes out. We don’t want to get our hopes up because life is unpredictable.”

Coogler said as much in his own interview with Gizmodo, saying that he hasn’t even “thought about” what’s next for Black Panther in terms of sequels. Here we have also covered Will There Be A Bad Boys 4 And everything about Euphoria Season 3

He admitted, “I’m not the world’s greatest multitasker when it comes to writing and directing.” “I guess I just have to focus on the one thing in front of me. In terms of output, I’m better prepared to handle multiple tasks at once. Also, I have an excellent production firm and wonderful partners that can assist with planning.

“But when it comes to writing, and in this case, co-writing and directing, I’ve got to finish what’s in front of me and then and then think of all that is happening after that.”

In the weeks and months following the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, we may expect to hear more definite facts about future Black Panther films; we will update this site with any new information as it becomes available.

Although the show’s title and premiere date are unknown at this time, we do know that we’ll be returning to Wakanda for a Disney Plus TV show.

Okoye, played by Danai Gurira, will return for the show, which has been rumored to be an origin narrative for the character.

Speculations About The Black Panther 3 Release Date

Although a release date has not yet been revealed, given that most of Marvel Studios’ next releases have already been announced, it is safe to anticipate that it will be quite sometime before the second Black Panther movie arrives, provided it does get the go-ahead as predicted.

It appears that we may have to wait until Phase 7 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which could mean waiting until late 2026 before we get Black Panther 3. If that’s the case, we’ll have to wait for the same amount of time (four years) that we did between the first two Black Panther movies.

Nonetheless, there are still three unannounced Phase 6 projects, and Black Panther 3 might take one of those slots; the 25th of July 2025, the 7th of November 2025, and the 13th of February 2026 are the current release dates for these films.

Even if a threequel is officially announced soon, specific plot details are likely to be kept under wraps until very close to its eventual release, so it’s still far too early to make any grand pronouncements about what the next Black Panther film will be about. Click here to watch Black Panther

The conclusion of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever raises several concerns that could be explored in a sequel, most notably the nature of the alliance made between Namor and the Wakandans.

In the last moments of Wakanda Forever, Namor explains to his cousin Namora that he is playing the long game and that one day the world would turn against Wakanda, leaving Talokan as its lone ally. This prediction could come true in a third film.

Wakanda Forever concludes with a post-credits scene in which Toussiant, Nakia and T’Challa’s son, introduces himself to Shuri and reveals that he is actually Prince T’Challa, the son of King T’Challa. It’s likely that this character will play a role in the third film, though it’s unclear how significant that role will be. Let’s see below the cast of Black Panther 3.

Who Could Potentially Return In Black Panther 3?

The cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, including Shuri (Letitia Wright), Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), Okoye (Danai Gurira), M’Baku (Winston Duke), and Namor (Tenoch Huerta), has formed an uneasy alliance with the Wakandans, so they are likely to return for the third installment.

In addition to the previously mentioned actors, Daniel Kaluuya’s W’Kabi from the first Black Panther film and Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams/Ironheart, Michaela Coel as Aneka, and Mabel Cadena as Namora are all possible returnees.

There’s also a good potential that many other well-known actors, who are either now part of the MCU or are planning to join at some point in the future, will have a part to play as well, especially considering how quickly the MCU’s roster of characters is expanding. Whenever we learn anything new, we’ll share it with you here.

However, when Ramonda was killed off in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Angela Bassett’s character looks unlikely to return.
