Now that the second season of Demon Slayer has concluded, we can begin to speculate about when additional episodes of the anime might start appearing on Netflix. The popularity of “Demon Slayer” has skyrocketed as a direct result of some genuinely great animation that was created by the skilled artists at Ufotable. Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is now the film that holds the record for the most money made at the box office in Japan’s entire history, breaking the previous record held by Studio Ghibli.
Demon Slayer Season 2 Plot/Story
The Swordsmith Village Arc will officially be the focus of Demon Slayer season 3. We won’t give anything away about the source material here, so don’t worry about that, but our best guess is that it will span chapters 100–127 of the manga. Since the Entertainment District Arc spanned a similar range of episodes, from 70 to 99, it is possible that this season will also consist of 12 episodes, give or take a few episodes.
It is expected that Tanjiro will go to the Swordsmith Village in order to get a new weapon unless there are significant deviations from the plan. It just so happens that the community is the custodian of a historically significant weapon. However, things are not quite as simple as they seem because the Love and Mist Hashiras, along with possibly one or two Upper-Rank demons, are involved in the plot.
In a broader sense, the way that the episode of Demon Slayer season 3 ended in Entertainment District gave us a hint about the direction that the show is most likely going to follow after the third season. Tengen has been eliminated from the competition but is still very much alive and well. He suggested to Iguro that Tanjiro should take over for Hashira as the most likely person to do so. From that vantage point, the Demon Slayers will, at last, be able to launch their counterattack against their ultimate target, Muzan Kibutsuji.
Demon Slayer Season 2 Cast
The characters from the Swordsmith Village arc will include Tanjiro (Natsuki Hanae), Zenitsu (Hiro Shimono), Inosuke (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka), and Nezuko (Akari Kitou).
Two characters from the series, the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanoji, are joining them. Future seasons should also see more members of the Hashiras and the Twelve Upper Moons/Twelve Kibuki. A recent official sketch of the antagonist One Upper Moon, Doma, who is anticipated to make an appearance in Demon Slayer season 3, has been made public.
It is planned that Haruo Satozaki would direct, and Akira Matsushima will be in charge of character design.
Demon Slayer Season 2 Release Date
The Mugen Train Arc was transformed into a seven-episode arc that began airing on October 10, as opposed to the previously scheduled Entertainment District Arc, which everyone anticipated would be the first. This arc featured a brand-new episode of Kyojuro Rengoku as well as 70 brand-new scenes, music tracks, episode previews, and a new theme song. The Mugen Train Arc, which will be an adaptation of the manga created by Koyoharu Gotouge’s original source material, connected season 1 with the Entertainment District Arc (season 2).
