An individual in Georgia was caught and charged with impersonating a police officer.
The police in Dunwoody, Georgia, have arrested Brandon Jones-Henderson on suspicion of impersonating a police officer.
He had previously identified himself as a member of the Adairsville Police Department, but the agency now claims to be unaware of his existence.
Sgt. Michael Cheek of the Dunwoody Police Department said the man’s lies were uncovered when a resident complained about the actions of a traffic officer last week.
“Wednesday morning we had a resident come into the police department to make a complaint on an officer that was being rude while directing traffic,” Cheek told FOX 5 Atlanta.

After receiving the report, officers from the Dunwoody Police Department headed to the intersection of Chamblee Dunwoody Road and Cotillion Drive, where they located the individual who had been directing traffic.
According to Cheek, “he was dressed like a police officer” because of the police vest he was wearing. He was also armed and wearing a shirt that read “State Police Officer,” as we would later learn.
The man claimed to be an employee of the Adairsville Police Department when questioned by the police. The Dunwoody PD contacted their counterparts in Adairsville, who informed them that they were unfamiliar with the man and had no information on his work there.
The construction company had employed him to direct traffic, Cheek explained.
